Well, we went to Heritage Frestival today. I'm sunburned and my feet are mad at me, but it was so much fun! All in all I don't think I'm not sore. Considering we walked for 6 hours anyway. More info -->here<-- and -->here<--
I'm working on my novel slowly. Characters are...uh...developing. Much different from the original concept. Granted, the original concept was "human, witch, druid, pixy, knight-in-training, dragon." Then somewhere along the line it became "ditch the dragon, make druid scaley. Human, elf-witch, druid, pixie, knight-in-training, questionable-motives-guy." And by now there's been a few other changes so I'm at... "Human, Witch-Elf, Snake Folk Druid, (?) Cat Folk/Elf Knight-in-Training (due to nifty pic I drew), Questionable-Motives-Gnomish-Guy." Hopefully I'll have the ambition to do up character sketches for all. So far I've done the druid and the knight and tentatively the elf. I'm not very satisfied with the elf though.
There was a cute little red-headed boy at the Arabian pavilian dancing that I wanted to use for my model of Andrew, the human in my story. He stuck out so much because of his hair, but damn if he wasn't the cutest there! I didn't get a picture because we were far away by that time, and it was later in the day so there were a LOT of people. It was odd, we were about half way through, sat down at a stage for the Irish pavilion, watched the show and BAM! hundred people around us by the time it was done! Got lots of pictures of those cuties dancing
Also, the last one we went to (all worn out, possible heat-stroke victims, sick of the crowds) was the Wales pavilion. Shannon stood on a table for me and took pictures of the SCA actors standing around before they began their 2 minute show that was mostly a lot of fighting. Ran out of film before we realized there was this cute little boy in a squire outfit wearing sunglasses!
Ok, enough inane.
